Into Film Cymru

Into Film Cymru delivers a programme inspiring teachers through its innovative training provision, delivering resources to schools and clubs, organising industry-led activities and events, and developing young people's interest in working within the creative sector in Wales.

We work with hundreds of schools in Wales, providing training to thousands of teachers, and engaging thousands of young people in workshops, Q&A sessions and masterclasses with industry insiders, as well as hosting the annual Into Film Festival in venues across the country.

We have developed a bespoke Media Literacy Project in Wales which is focused on current curriculum developments including development of digital literacy skills. We deliver our programme in English and Welsh, including education resources and CPD available in both languages.

We aim to equip teachers with the skills, knowledge, resources and confidence to use film to inspire, engage and excite students, and we work with the industry to demystify the world of film so that the young people of Wales are knowledgeable and aware of the opportunities available to them.

After a Festival Q&A session with actor Jonathan Pryce, Richard Lewis - a lecturer from Coleg Sir Gar said: "Having been teaching for over a quarter of a century, I can't recall students responding to any event in such a way. Many thanks to Into Film for organising this - young people attending events such as this truly does inspire, inform and motivate them."
